Zverev Retires After Ankle Injury
Alexander Zverev suffered a gruesome ankle injury during his match against Rafael Nadal at the French Open on Friday, forcing him to retire from the match. The match had lasted for three hours and was still in the second set.
Zverev, who is left-handed, was giving Nadal a tough fight until the injury occurred. Nadal, a 13-time French Open champion, ultimately advanced to the third round of the tournament.
The match was scheduled to start at 10:00 AM on May 27th and was played on Court Philippe-Chatrier.
